Healing and Hope Breakfast
On June 6th, the Franklin County Children's Advocacy Center will host a breakfast event at the Terrazza Restaurant at the Country Club of Greenfield from 7:30-9a.m. to educate community members about child abuse and the new Franklin County CAC. 15th Annual Child Abuse Awareness Breakfast
On April 4th, the Northwestern Children's Advocacy Center hosted its 15th Annual Child Abuse Awareness Month kickoff breakfast at the Log Cabin in Holyoke. The event raised $18,000 in donations and drew over 300 community members and business owners. 

Bartender Shootout at Taylor's Tavern
On February 16, 2014, the Franklin County Children's Advocacy Center raised over $3,600 at the 18th annual Taylor's Tavern Bartender Shootout. A large crowd gathered to sling beers and raise awareness for victims of child abuse and the Franklin CAC house project. 

Soup and Games Night at Hope & Olive
In January 2014, the Franklin County Children's Advocacy raised over $2,500 in donations at fun evening of board games, raffles, drinks, and soups donated from local restaurants. Thank you to Hope & Olive and all those who made this special event possible. 

Valley Gives Day: 12.12.13!

On 12.12.13 the Northwestern Children's Advocacy Center will participate in the second annual Valley Gives day, where residents of Franklin, Hampden, and Hampshire counties are encouraged to donate to participating local non-profits online at Like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter to receive information and updates on this exciting day of giving!

Western Massachusetts Symposium on Child Abuse

On Friday, October 25 the Northwestern Children's Advocacy Center, in collaboration with Cooley Dickenson Hospital, the Northwestern District Attorney's Office, Friends of Children, Inc., ServiceNet, and Massachusetts General Hospital, hosted a medical conference for prosecutors, law enforcement officials, health professionals, and social workers. Experts in their fields, Dr. Alice Newton, Dr. Christine Barron, Dr. Stephen Boos, Dr. Stephanie Block, ADA Sylvia Rudman, and Dr. James Chu, presented on topics including: abusive head trauma, child sexual and physical abuse, child abuse mimics, dynamics of disclosure, and testifying as an expert witness. An enormous and heartfelt thank you to the presenters for sharing their time and crucial information, and to all of those who helped make the first of many Symposiums on Child Abuse possible!

Wet Paint! Silent Art Auction and Wine Tasting

Twenty of the Pioneer Valley's best artists painted outdoors at locations throughout the Valley on September 21st and donated their artwork for a silent auction and wine tasting held at the Hotel Northampton on October 3rd. Thank you to all of those who made this special event a tremendous success! A special thanks to the artists, Easthampton Savings Bank, and The Hotel Northampton. The CAC was able to raise nearly $18,000. Half of the proceeds will be used to continue to build a develop a CAC house in Franklin County.
